Your child’s first steps to learning begin at First Grammar Beaconsfield. Our long day care and early education centre provides child care in Mentone that is perfect for families living or commuting through nearby suburbs Berwick, Officer and Pakenham.
From the moment you walk through the doors of our child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to learn and explore. Our adventure-filled playgrounds feature sandpits, vegetable garden, and other exciting play equipment to engage all the senses. Children are provided the time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our qualified and long-serving team of educators focus on building a strong relationship with your family.
Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
We have everything covered here at our Beaconsfield child care centre, so you won’t need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. Healthy meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
Every day presents a new opportunity for learning experiences at our Beaconsfield early education centre. At an additional fee, your child can have access to engaging specialised programs, including music and movement, sports and Bush Kinder. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
Educators and children venture out into the local community on excursions to the nearby aged care facility, library and park. We welcome special guests and community members based on the children's interests. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our First Grammar community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
