“I believe play is the foundation of early learning – it’s through play that children make sense of their world, build social skills, and grow emotionally.”

I’ve been in early childhood education since 2018, and I had the pleasure of working at First Grammar Baulkham Hills in 2020 before transferring to our sister centre Fraser Avenue Early Learning Centre. In 2025 I returned to Baulkham Hills as the Centre Manager.

My time at Baulkham Hills was incredibly special, particularly working in the preschool room. I’ve always loved supporting children during this important stage of growth, helping them prepare for their transition into primary school. I’m especially passionate about working with children with additional needs, ensuring they feel confident, included, and empowered to reach their full potential. Every day in early education brings something new, and I find real joy in being part of each child’s learning journey.

One of the most important things I’ve learned is that no two children are the same. Each child has a unique way of learning and engaging with the world, which is why my teaching style is flexible, inclusive, and centred around strong, trusting relationships. I believe play is the foundation of early learning – it’s through play that children make sense of their world, build social skills, and grow emotionally.

My approach is to nurture the whole child by creating a supportive, engaging, and inclusive environment. I meet each child where they’re at, encourage their strengths, and guide them with empathy and care. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, heard, and valued – and that’s exactly what I aim to provide.

When speaking with families, I highlight that while home learning is important, early learning centres offer rich opportunities that can’t always be replicated at home. Centres like First Grammar Baulkham Hills provide social interactions, structured routines, and guided play experiences led by qualified educators. These settings help children build important life skills such as independence, resilience, and communication – skills that set them up for success at school and beyond.

Our team at First Grammar Baulkham Hills is incredibly experienced, dedicated, and passionate about early childhood education. Miss Nipa leads the Nursery and Toddler room and brings 17 years of experience with G8 Education. Miss Kinder is our Early Childhood Teacher and room leader, with years of experience and a warm, thoughtful approach to teaching. She works alongside Miss Glenda, who has been part of the G8 family for over 10 years and is deeply respected by both colleagues and families. Together, they create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued. They are kind, caring, and truly understand the importance of building strong connections with children and their families.

I support families by building genuine, respectful relationships from the very beginning. I’m approachable, always ready for a quick chat or a more in-depth conversation, and I make it a priority to keep families informed and involved in their child’s learning. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your child in someone else’s care, and I work hard to create a warm, welcoming space where every family feels part of our community.

I look forward to welcoming you to our Baulkham Hills early education centre.

“I love seeing each child grow and develop as they transition into their schooling journey.”

I am passionate about encouraging children to embrace their childhood and supporting their overall well-being in the early years. I love seeing each child grow and develop as they transition into their schooling journey.

As a teacher, my goal is to provide a rich and nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore, initiate their own learning, and express themselves freely. I believe that by fostering curiosity, confidence, and a sense of belonging, I can help children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Every child is unique, and I am dedicated to guiding and supporting them in a way that honours their individuality, creativity, and potential.

A centre tour is a convenient way to experience the childcare centre of your choice and meet with our qualified educators at a time that is suitable for your family’s schedule. Click here to book a tour online.

On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

Our Family Support Team will add your child’s name to our waitlist if one of our childcare centres is currently full in your child’s age group. We will then contact you as soon as a place becomes available.

We also do monthly check-ins to review availability, and you will receive a text message confirming whether you’re still happy to remain on the waitlist each month. If you would like an update at any point, you’re welcome to reach out on our Web Chat or give us a call.

Our Family Support Team can also help you find more G8 early learning centres near you, with the same offerings at the First Grammar centre you are interested in that have immediate availability.

It’s common for a child to experience separation anxiety when they first start child care. When you’re getting ready to start child care, you can help your child overcome anxieties by visiting the child care service together for a Stay and Play session, and easing into new routines at home.

Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook. Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them.

For nursery children, be sure to bring: nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles and teats, comfort toys or blankets, three spare outfits and spare socks.

For toddlers and preschool or kindergarten-aged children, it’s best to bring: spare underwear, water bottle or sippy cup, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, two spare outfits and spare socks.

Plus, anything else your individual child may need, such as breast milk, a sleeping bag, a comforter or medication.

It’s best to speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

First Grammar uses Xplor Home as our family communication app. It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day.

After you enrol your child with the centre, you can utilise Xplor Home to book child care days, manage your account, receive the photographs that capture your child’s learning, learn about your child’s progress, as well as keep up-to-date with upcoming centre events and important information.

If your child shows signs of an infectious illness when they arrive at the centre or becomes sick during the day, you may be notified that you need to make alternative arrangements or pick up your child from the centre and keep them home until they are no longer infectious. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, First Grammar is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children.

Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.
