Your child’s first steps to learning begin at First Grammar Bonnyrigg Heights Early Education Centre. Our long day care and early education centre provides child care in Bonnyrigg Heights that is perfect for families living or commuting through nearby suburbs Bonnyrigg Heights, Bonnyrigg, and Edensor Park. We’re conveniently located right next to Bonnyrigg Heights Primary School and just down the road from Freeman Catholic College.
First Grammar Bonnyrigg Heights has two large outdoor areas, the opportunity to explore nature and learning about being sustainable citizens through our vegetable and herb gardens. We have a diverse staffing team with multilingual skills extending to in- centre events and celebrations that are inclusive of all cultural backgrounds.
When you walk through the doors of our Bonnyrigg Heights child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to learn and explore. Our adventure-filled playgrounds feature sandpits, natural gardens, vegetable gardens, cubby houses, climbing forts, bike track, and play equipment to engage all the senses.
Children are provided the time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
At First Grammar Bonnyrigg Heights we have four large and well-appointed activity rooms with a full range of new resources, updated regularly.
Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
We have everything covered here at our Bonnyrigg Heights child care centre, so you won’t need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. Nutritious meals are made daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
Every day presents a new opportunity for learning experiences at our Bonnyrigg Heights early education centre. For an additional fee your child can have access to engaging specialised programs, including a sport and music and movement program. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
Educators and children venture out into the local Bonnyrigg Heights community on excursions to nearby parks, shops, and schools. We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. As part of exploring and developing relationships with our community we have visits from local services including emergency services (fire and police) and family services (dentists and optometrists).
Our centre also celebrates regular cultural events reflecting the diversity in our local community. Annually we celebrate with our children and families special events such as New year, Lunar new year, Mother’s/father/grandparents day, Educators day, Book Week, Diwali, Eid and Christmas.
Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our First Grammar community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
