Centre Manager - First Grammar Ourimbah

"Each child and family member feels a sense of belonging"

I began in the Childcare and education industry at the age of 16, choosing to complete Child Care as work experience. I continued volunteering in the Preschool during my school holidays and after school in the evenings.

After completing my High school certificate I commenced work in the State Bank of NSW. After starting my family I decided I still had a huge passion for childcare and education industry so I became an Integration teacher and an Administrator for the Department of Education at Windsor Park Public School. I stayed there for five years with my two children until leaving to complete a certificate III in childcare and a diploma in order to pursue a career in early childhood. I have many years’ experience as a room leader until the opportunity came up to be a Centre Manager.

I have now been involved in the childcare and education industry for over 21 years and have loved every day, especially having a fantastic team of Educators that have helped our Centre grow and improve with our programs and opportunities we offer for the children and families. Offering a warm, nurturing and safe environment comes naturally as we make sure each child and family member feels a sense of belonging in our centre.

What I love about my job the most is been able to be a huge part of the children’s lives and an important part of our local community and help the children explore all aspects of the environment we offer them. We learn new things every day and as a team we provide the best quality of care to each and every child allowing each learning outcome to be achieved.

I welcome you to drop in any time to find out more about our centre and the quality of care we offer.
