Gordana Karoglan

Centre Manager - First Grammar Hurstville

"Seeing children grow and flourish under the guidance of my care is such a rewarding experience."

I have been surrounded by children my whole life, I began working as a Primary School Teacher and then decided to move to Australia and become an Early Childhood Teacher here. I have always been very passionate about teaching and supporting children in their growth and development.

Every child has individual needs. The best teacher is someone who cares and looks/explores all these needs and applies their knowledge to guide and scaffold children’s interests, needs and overall development. My aim is to support children to grow in confident and secure people.

I believe that every child has unique set of skills and sometimes they are misunderstood. I love to guide them and teach them life skills. I am very passionate about the Transition to school program, as it is a huge milestone in children’s little lives. I focus on building their confidence, self-esteem, public speaking, social skills, persistence and resistance. As a centre manager, I love to mentor and lead the team to provide the best possible quality care to our children and families.

As a Centre Manager, I believe that having a great team is very important in delivering a high quality service to our children, families and community. I have that here at Hurstville – where all educators are incredibly experienced, dedicated and passionate.

We would love to meet you and your children so please feel free to drop in four a tour of our centre and to meet our lovely Educators here at First Grammar Hurstville.
