Centre Manager - First Grammar Hurstville

"I ensure each child is settled into their environment before focusing on their individual growth and strength."

I started working in early learning in 2015. I currently hold my Bachelor of Education (Birth to Five Years). I am a registered teacher with NESA. I previously received my Certificate 3 and Diploma through traineeship.

I chose Early Childhood Education as a career because I am passionate about the growth and development of children. I love seeing the smiles on children’s faces and how they share their stories and experiences from their day with their families. I am grateful to be a part of this sector. It is very rewarding as we watch the children grow, learn and graduate with us.

When a child attends an early childhood education and care centre, they are able to socialise with the other children, develop independence, extend and explore their interests and become ready for life beyond early childhood.

I have learnt that every child is a unique individual. It has guided my teaching style, making me flexible in my programming to ensure I cater for every child in my care. I ensure each child is settled into their environment and developing positive relationships with the child before focusing on their individual growth and strength, as children learn best when they’re in a secure environment.

Our team are hardworking individuals who strive to ensure they are providing quality care and education for the children we look after. I am always very transparent and honest, which is vital to maintaining a trusting relationship. I listen carefully to requests and work with the families to ensure a smooth transition and a great experience for children. Families can come to me when they have any feedback and I work with my team to ensure we respond and take action.
