Centre Manager - First Grammar Bendigo

“It takes a village to raise a child.”

I feel incredibly excited to be joining the First Grammar and the G8 team. I relocated to Bendigo in 2017 after my son and I fell in love the area. I grew up Deni – the home of the Ute Muster! Leaving Deni at 18yrs for Melbourne and the city life.

For 21 years I have worked extensively within the early childhood education sector, with over 15 years in leadership and management roles.  One of my favourite quotes (and I have many!) is ‘It takes a village to raise a child’, this fuels my passion in providing quality education and care for children.

I believe in building a community that fosters an environment where children, families and early childhood educators are valued, supported, and most importantly set up to succeed. I value working in partnership with families, early childhood educators, professional and the wider community as I believe it contributes to the foundations of children developing a lifelong love of learning.

My philosophy and practice are influenced by Reggio Emilia approach and ‘Yes’, it’s on my bucket list to visit Italy one day and undertake a study tour of Reggio Emillia.

I look forward to meeting everyone.
