Your child’s first steps to learning begin at First Grammar Seven Hills. Our long day care and early education centre provides child care in Seven Hills that is perfect for families living or commuting through nearby suburbs Seven Hills, Winston Hills, Lalor Park, Blacktown, Toongabbie and Kings Langley and within easy access to the M7 and A2.
Our centre has five rooms 0-1, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 and 4-5. We have two large separate outdoor learning environments. There is plenty of undercover parking available.
From the moment you walk through the doors of our Seven Hills child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to learn and explore. Our adventure-filled playgrounds feature sandpits, mud pit green area, natural gardens, vegetable gardens, climbing forts, bike track, and play equipment to engage all the senses.
Children are provided the time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
We have everything covered here at our Seven Hills child care centre, so you won’t need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. Nutritious meals are made daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
Every day presents a new opportunity for learning experiences at our Seven Hills early education centre. For an additional fee your child can have access to engaging specialised programs, including a sport and music and movement program. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program. We have incorporated I.T. learning centres and interactive smart-boards into our daily routines which have enhanced our already specialised School Readiness program.
Educators and children venture out into the local Seven Hills community on excursions to nearby parks, shops, and schools. We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. E.g. schools, dentists, hearing and vision representatives, emergency services, indigenous elders, Tongan family cultural carving rituals, etc.
Our centre also celebrates regular cultural events reflecting the diversity in our local community. E.g. Mother’s/Father’s Day, Christmas, Book Week, Diwali, Holi, NAIDOC and many more. We have a monthly calendar celebrating cultural events as well as incorporating the children’s voices into what they would like to celebrate.
Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
