Hi, my name is Gordana Karoglan and I am the Centre Manger here at First Grammar Hurstville. I have been surrounded by children my whole life, I began working as a Primary School Teacher and then decided to move to Australia and become an Early Childhood Teacher here. I have been in child related industry for more than 10 years. I have always been very passionate about teaching and supporting children in their growth and development.
Making a difference in the lives of children is my main goal of being teacher in early childhood, seeing children grow and flourish under the guidance of my care is such a rewarding experience. My role in childcare will most definitely have an impact on a child’s entire life and to me that is the most important fact. Being a mother of two amazing children it has been the most rewarding experience, but they are my biggest achievements and I am so thankful for them. They inspire me every day to be a better person.
As a Centre Manager, I believe that having a great team is very important in delivering a high quality service to our children, families and community, and that I have here at Hurstville – where all educators are dedicated and passionate individual to teach all they can. So far, being a Centre Manager has been a wonderful experience and cannot wait to see what the future holds as every day is a new day working with children and families.

Reviews and Testimonials
See what some of our parents say about our centre:
“I highly recommend First Grammar Hurstville. After having a really terrible experience with a previous centre, my son was lucky enough to get a place with First Grammar. From my very first dealings with them, I have been absolutely delighted by the mix of friendliness, professionalism, transparency, courtesy, kindness and responsiveness shown by the staff. The centre manager Courtney is a pleasure to deal with and all the educators are skilled, caring and kind. The facilities are excellent, with big rooms, lots of outdoor space, lots of daylight and an array of equipment for the kids. The centre utilises apps which are really useful, and the staff are always in close communication with the parents which gives me a real sense of confidence. I truly can’t recommend the centre enough!”
“Wow!! What a find!! After receiving a recommendation from a friend, I had a look at the Centre and was immediately impressed by the cleanliness and overall positive vibe. We could not be happier with the wonderful standard of care we have received since our little boy started a few months ago. He has recently transitioned from the nursery to the early learners and he is thriving in the happy and kind environment. The staff are very experienced and genuinely love working with children, the Centre is extremely well managed and the level of care is amazing. I know while I am gone he will be fed yummy healthy home cooked food, play games with cute little friends and lots of cuddles and fun with the beautiful staff.”
“First Grammar Hurstville is a wonderful nurturing childcare centre. Its focus and commitment are the children in its care. I have had children in the centre since 2014 and in that time it has continually implemented improvements and continually strives to deliver exceptional care. The staff are attentive and wonderfully caring, which is a great relief as you entrust your children to care for such a significant amount of time.
The learning opportunities are vast and access to extra curricular activities is available. My son who is now at school transitioned well thanks to the preparation he received at First Grammar Hurstville. The facilities are second to none and the centre takes great pride in keeping them up-to-date and new. I can totally recommend the centre, our family love it.”
“The staff ensure they know your child and always praise their every accomplishment. They take extra care and pay careful attention to their development. Everyone is always happy to see both you and your child, understanding of every change in situation. First Grammar Hurstville are very accommodating and are a brilliant daycare. I am ecstatic I made such a good choice straight up. My child has been in daycare since she was 3 and a half months and the staff have assisted in every way possible. I feel that my child is in safe hands and amongst extended family whilst at daycare.”
“First Grammar Hurstville is the best child care centre I have ever been in. As I have worked in other child care centre’s before. I knew when I was going to put my daughter in one for the first time that it had to be welcoming, clean and have some great educators. This is exactly what I found at First Grammar. My daughter has been going for a little over a year now, and her confidence has improved so much! Her speech is amazing, and she is also now fully toilet trained all with the help of this amazing daycare. One more great thing about this daycare is the cleanness. Every time I walk in they are constantly cleaning, and making everything germ free. Class A childcare. Couldn’t recommend them enough.”
“The staff are friendly, caring and professional. My child has attended this centre for over 12 months and she is very happy and enjoys attending. The rooms are set up in a learning area’s, the meals provided are home cooked, there is lovely outdoor area’s catering for the different ages. We are very happy here.”
“Wonderful kindergarten/pre-school. Caring teachers and carers. Great outdoor play area, computer skills and learning areas – teaching the children is above all. Meals are healthy and well planned and the overall centre is very well designed and accommodates all age groups in various controlled areas of the centre. I love this centre!”
